Can an iPod touch 6th gem get a virus?

So I was on a website & it redirected me to another one & it said that the iOS device had a virus & that I needed to call a number right away, I closed the app & stopped it, I restarted the app & it was fine, but now I'm just a little worried. I have all of my social media accounts logged in & I'm just wondering if any thing will be comprimised, I mean everything is okay except for Twitter, it keeps telling me I have a notification but I don't. Should I be super concerned & what should I do? Please help! Thank you.

As long as you did not call and give any information to them via the telephone there is no problem. An iPod can't get a virus

Go to Settings>Safari and Clear History, Data and Cookies.

Correction an Ipod can get a virus but it is highly unlikely. It probably was a scam trying to get personal info or install a virus. But I wouldn't worry the firmware on an Ipod is really good.
